Because I've got nothing better to do...

This is all [livejournal.com profile] westlifefan's fault. Blame her. For real. I don't really have any self-discipline when I'm doing homework. Everyone on my list should know that by now. At least I got everything done on my list tonight before I did this, right? Two iPod shuffle memes. I re-started the shuffle for the second one. I didn't tag anyone. You people are probably just annoyed it's popping up on your f-lists.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Put your iPod or other music player on shuffle.
2. For each question, press the NEXT button to get your answer.
3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS!
4. Tag friends who might enjoy doing this as well as the person you got this from. Everyone can do it. XD

I said I wasn't tagging anyone. If you really want to, knock yourself out.

IF SOMEONE SAYS "IS THIS OKAY" YOU SAY?
"The More Boys I Meet" - Carrie Underwood (Cause that one made perfect sense.)

WHAT WOULD BEST DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY?
"The Music of the Night" - Andrew Lloyd Webber (It just says Webber...it's actually Michael Crawford...Best. Phantom. Ever. Move over Gerry Butler. ...this one doesn't make sense either...)

WHAT DO YOU LIKE IN A GUY/GIRL?
"Dancing Through Life" from Wicked - Norbert Leo Butz (In reality, I think I'd smack someone who was like this.)

WHAT IS YOUR LIFE'S PURPOSE?
Les Amoureux Des Bancs Publics" - Various Artists (I can't remember who sings it...it says at the beginning! That translates to "The Lovers of the Public Bank" by the way...)

WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO?
"Peron's Latest Flame" from Evita - Antonio Banderas (...wow...)

WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK OF YOU?
"New York State of Mind" - Billy Joel

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT OFTEN?
"I Know" - Drake Bell (That was actually a pretty decent answer for what the shuffle is supposed to come up with.)

WHAT IS 2+2?
"Saturday" - Fall Out Boy

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR BEST FRIEND?
"Movin' Out" - Billy Joel (I think this thing's broken...)

WHAT IS YOUR LIFE STORY?
"Love Heals" - Cast of Rent (*throws iPod at the wall*)

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
"We Rule the Night" - Bon Jovi (LMAO!)

WHAT DO YOU THINK WHEN YOU SEE THE PERSON YOU LIKE?
"So Long" - Constantine Maroulis (Rather than say why this makes no sense, I should probably be explaining why I have Constantine on my iPod...)

WHAT DO YOUR PARENTS THINK OF YOU?
"Help" - The Beatles (Very funny.)

WHAT WILL YOU DANCE TO AT YOUR WEDDING?
Evidently Joe Trohman's manifesto...what the hell is that doing on my iPod???
How about "Friday Night" - The Click Five instead? :P

WHAT WILL THEY PLAY AT YOUR FUNERAL?
"She's A Mystery" - Bon Jovi

WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY/INTEREST?
"So Emotional" - Christina Aguilera (This might be stranger than Joe Trohman's manifesto...)

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST SECRET?
"Candle in the Wind" - Elton John

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR FRIENDS?
"Another Bear" from Finding Neverland - Jan A.P. Kaczmarek

WHAT'S THE WORST THING THAT COULD HAPPEN?
"The One That Got Away" - Bon Jovi (Hey, one that makes sense!)

HOW WILL YOU DIE?
"Without Love" from Hairspray - Zac Efron, Nikki Blonsky, Elijah Kelly, & Amanda Bynes

WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU REGRET?
"Love Song for No One" - John Mayer

WHAT MAKES YOU LAUGH?
"America's Suitehearts" - Fall Out Boy

WHAT MAKES YOU CRY?
"Mystery Train" - Bon Jovi

WILL YOU EVER GET MARRIED?
"The Take Over, The Break's Over" - Fall Out Boy (Wouldn't you rather be a widow than a divorcee? ...that doesn't answer the question, boys...though, I suppose it makes more sense than a majority of the answers here, which, is also pretty sad.)

WHAT SCARES YOU THE MOST?
"Low" - Kelly Clarkson

DOES ANYONE LIKE YOU?
"Mixtape" - Butch Walker (Must have, if they gave me the best mixtape I have, then again...of course if I'm wishing that there was more than that about me and whoever it is...I'm going to go stop being lame now.)

IF YOU COULD GO BACK IN TIME, WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE?
"Bad Day" - Daniel Powter (Had a lot of those...)

WHAT HURTS RIGHT NOW?
"Piano Man" - Billy Joel

WHAT WILL YOU POST THIS AS?
"The New Girl in Town" from Hairspray - Brittany Snow

The rules:
Put your music player of choice on shuffle and answer these questions with the first line(s) of the song.

1. If you were to see a ghost, you'd scream..."Well you done done me in your bed I felt it." ("I'm Yours" - Jason Mraz) Must have been a hot ghost.

2. If you were to write an autobiography, you'd call it..."Don't go breaking my heart." ("Don't Go Breaking My Heart - Elton John & Kiki Dee) I'm going to go crawl under a rock now...

3. You get a letter from a secret admirer that reads..."I never asked for this or planned it in advance." ("Wonderful" from Wicked - Joel Grey) That's actually kind of cute.

4. In a job interview you're always sure to tell the manager..."Sometimes I want to quit this all and become an accountant now." ("The (Shipped) Gold Standard" - Fall Out Boy) Ha! Wonder what the response to that would be.

5. When you arrive at the pearly gates in the sky you say..."I'll take you just the way you are." ("Declaration" - David Cook)

6. If you were a superhero, your catch phrase would be..."Dressed up for a big date like Halloween Day, but it was Fourth of July now." ("Captain Crash and the Beauty Queen from Mars" - Bon Jovi)

7. When somebody offers you drugs you decline by saying..."I don't expect my love affairs to last for long." ("Another Suitcase in Another Hall" from Evita - Madonna)

8. While stuck in traffic you read a strange bumper sticker that states..."I've been knockin', so come to your front door." ("Headlight Disco" - The Click Five) Hey, I'd go to my front door for Kyle any day... :X

9. Hmm... "Didn't want to see it end this way." ("River Runs Dry" - Bon Jovi)

10. When a bully insults you, your comeback is..."I'm flat on the floor with my head down low where the sky can't rain on me anymore." ("Flat on the Floor" - Carrie Underwood) Sadly, this must have been the best one yet.

11. When you win a game of ping pong you shout..."Bobby's driving through the city tonight through the lights in a hot new rent-a-car." ("Say Goodbye to Hollywood" - Billy Joel) I'm trying to think of ANY situation where it would be appropriate to shout that...except for during drunk Billy Joel karaoke.

12. So what exactly makes you so awesome..."Don't you want to go for a ride, just keep your hands inside, and make the most out of life, now don't you take it for granted." ("This Is How A Heart Breaks" - Rob Thomas)

13. After making out, you tell your sweetheart..."I got questions for you, you've got answers untrue." ("Straight Ahead" - David Cook) Talk about a dysfunctional relationship.

14. If you're the valedictorian of your school, you open your valedictory speech with..."Maybe it's intuition, but some things you just don't question.". ("I Knew I Loved You" - Savage Garden) It was the French song again...I only skipped it because he sings really fast, and I haven't figured that one out yet...

15. Describe your best friend..."Ludicrous! Have you seen the score! Simply ludicrous! It's the final straw!" ("Notes/Twisted Every Way" - Phantom of the Opera Original Cast) Actually...

16. When you're angry, you like to scream..."I miss the sound of your voice." ("Come on Get Higher" - Matt Nathanson) Uh...

17. What you say to ask for forgiveness from someone you've hurt..."St. Jimmy's coming down across the alleyway." ("St. Jimmy" - Green Day) Ooookaaaaay

18. How you express your feelings to your crush..."The power of love is a curious thing, make one man weep, make another man sing." ("The Power of Love" - Huey Lewis and the News) Teehee. That one actually would be an interesting opening.

19. How you introduce yourself to people..."Someday we'll all get started, someday we'll have what we wanted, someday we'll want what's better, someday we'll all live forever.". ("Someday" - Plain White T's)

20. When asking for directions, you start the question with..."I'm walking on clouds now, and the sky is falling all down." ("Possibilities" - Teddy Geiger) The odds that you'll actually get a song with a question in the first line...

My iPod is biased, by the way. In case you couldn't tell from the overabundance of FOB and Bon Jovi...well, maybe BJ isn't so weird for me.

I'm so bored that I'm totally doing the last one right now haha

[identity profile] street-symphony.livejournal.com 2009-03-17 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
As dumb as the answers are, I actually find these entertaining.

[identity profile] holly-hox-1985.livejournal.com 2009-03-18 06:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I do too. What did you think of Idol last night? I thought it was suprisingly decent, all around. Except for Megan and Adam, but I always gripe about them haha

[identity profile] street-symphony.livejournal.com 2009-03-18 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Adam's performance made me curl up into a ball. He was hanging by a thread with me, and it snapped last night. Kris and Matt were great, but I'm really annoyed that they stuck Kris closer to the beginning.

[identity profile] holly-hox-1985.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Adam's was so self-indulgent, it was almost sick. I appreciate people being different but that was just ridiculous. I think it hurt him in the voting, too. I wasn't sad to see Alexis go at all...her performance was really forgettable.

[identity profile] street-symphony.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not a fan of country, but when you do that to Johnny Cash, yeah. I think it hurt him in the voting too. It was probably too different for some people. I didn't care that Alexis left either. I didn't get her hype, and I don't like "Jolene" either.

[identity profile] holly-hox-1985.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not a country fan either. I just think it showed how hard he's trying (too hard, that is) to be some innovative "rock star". And his peacock hair is bad too haha.

Didn't Brooke White do "Jolene" too?

[identity profile] street-symphony.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Definitely too hard. I think, for me, it felt like, even if it totally wasn't his intention, it was a mockery of that song. I'm pretty sure he insulted the country fanbase.

Yes. I just think it's a dumb song, to be perfectly honest.

[identity profile] holly-hox-1985.livejournal.com 2009-03-20 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
Good point. It's such a classic that anytime you choose to perform it differently to the original, you walk that fine line between being innovative and insulting.

It is. The worst part is, Brooke did it better I think, and I never could stand Brooke really.

[identity profile] street-symphony.livejournal.com 2009-03-20 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Especially when you do it like that. That was just creepy. His fans claim "it's growing on" them. I think they're in denial.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. I also think Brooke did it better. She, at least, seemed to connect to the song in some way.

[identity profile] holly-hox-1985.livejournal.com 2009-03-22 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
The whole performance had a really gross vibe to it. I'd say denial too. I bet he's back to his regular stuff next week though and the judges fall back in love with him. unfortunately haha

It appeared to actually have some emotion and meaning when Brooke did it. It was more earnest, at any rate.

[identity profile] street-symphony.livejournal.com 2009-03-22 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Weird kind of is his regular stuff. His demos prior to Idol all sound like 80's music on steroids. If he screws up Motown week, then we'll have a personal issue.

Yes, that's what I thought too. I think Brooke was one of those rare people who took the lyrics into consideration (as annoying as those lyrics were).

[identity profile] holly-hox-1985.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
True. I haven't heard his demos, but weird is definitely his thing, you're right. Anyone who screws up Motown week is going to irk me a bit, those songs and that whole era are so classic.

Exactly, Alexis just went through the motions which annoyed me. To some degree she had to have picked the song (losing any potential hat picks aside), and it didn't even seem that she enjoyed it at all.

[identity profile] street-symphony.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't say I recommend his demos. Motown is such an important era to music. To Detroit too, so I'll probably be boycotting anyone who ruins it. Adam especially if he weirds it up.

No, it didn't. Not until she had to sing to stay did she show any emotion. And I even hated that.

[identity profile] holly-hox-1985.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 06:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Hopefully he'll stay respectful of the original music. Or not, and he can go home haha. Wishful thinking :P

It sounded really bad the second time she sang it - I guess it was because she was upset, but it definitely didn't do her any favors.

[identity profile] street-symphony.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd say definitely wishful thinking. Although, if he does keep doing what he's been doing, I think he'll leave soon. Happened to Chris Daughtry.

Yeah, I figured that too. I'm glad the judges didn't waste the save on her. It wasn't good.

[identity profile] holly-hox-1985.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
A few more weeks of that and he'll turn off enough people, but he's probably learned his lesson.

I would have gone nuts if they wasted the save. It's still too early to save anyone, I think.

[identity profile] street-symphony.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 07:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably. From what I know, he does google himself, so he probably checks DialIdol and stuff too.

Definitely. Not to mention, who would have gone on tour if they had? That was my question.

[identity profile] holly-hox-1985.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
LOL why is it not a surprise to me that he Googles himself?

Ahh, good one. Yeah how could they have even done a save on that week? I didn't even think of that.

[identity profile] street-symphony.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know why anyone on that show would, but he does seem to be the type.

Which is pretty much why I thought the save would never happen in the first place. I think they're saving it for around top 6/5 when Lil or Adam get the boot.

[identity profile] holly-hox-1985.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 06:38 am (UTC)(link)
I know I personally couldn't handle it, but it does seem like he's famewhorey enough to want to look.

They're definitely going to use it on someone strong. Lil or Adam, like you said, and maybe Matt. I don't think Danny will ever be in the bottom, to be honest.

[identity profile] street-symphony.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I couldn't either. But, yes, he does.

Probably not. Even though people say they're sick of his story. People are still voting for him. I'd hope they would use it on Matt if it happened.

[identity profile] holly-hox-1985.livejournal.com 2009-03-24 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm sick of Danny's story too, and I'm not sure I go for his personality and what he's about, but his voice is spectacular. I'm afraid for Matt - he's so good but it seems like when it comes down to it, Danny, Lil, and Adam get more attention.

[identity profile] westlifefan.livejournal.com 2009-03-17 05:24 pm (UTC)(link)
LMAO!! You did it! See, procrastinating is fun. I told you...

Haha, at what your parents think about you. I think that's actually something most parents sing about just because they get overwhelmed by their child's awesomeness!

I like that Bon Jovi's She's A Mystery is playing at your funeral because it coincedes sort of with the mystery of being a "candle in the wind", LOL! That was too funny!

Mystery Train? Bon Jovi sang an Elvis song? You have taught me something very interesting today.

Oh no, the Piano Man hurts you? Where does he hurt you? The soul. I imagine, the soul, LOL!

You got a hot ghost (LOL!) and I got a clingy ghost. What's with ghosts borderlining innuendo and emotional issues? Tsk tsk...Btw, I love your autobiography's name! Priceless!! At total haha at No. 13 - dysfunctional relationships are where it's at!

No. 19?? LMAO!! OMG - that's really funny!! I wonder how people would react if you "actually" introduced yourself like that...

[identity profile] street-symphony.livejournal.com 2009-03-17 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I just now realized that those two songs go together crazy well.

That's a different "Mystery Train" that Bon Jovi does. There might be an Elvis influence (because Jon considers him one of the gods), but it's a different song. I'd listen, though. Crush was a good album.

Well, would you rather it scared you? :P

I think if I introduced myself like in #19, people would think I was some kind of depressed hippie. It is the Plain White T's after all.
